You can make a difference!

You can help bring about change in a constructive and positive way. There is nothing wrong with a corporation making a profit as long as the markets are free and open. However, throughout U.S. history there have been times when corporations impeded open markets and that is when it was deemed necessary that the United States government, acting on behalf of the people reestablished free markets. Ironically, this was the case in 1911, when Standard Oil was first broken up. Unfortunately, in 1999 our government basically allowed ExxonMobil to become Standard Oil once again. The results, are plain to for all to see. Record Profits, yet not a new refinery in 30 years. 

The solution is obvious. ExxonMobil must once again be broken up. Only then can there be any chance at all for the marketplace- not Exxonmobil to decide what the price for gasoline should be. This will involve federal action and changes in policy at the FTC. It won’t be quick and it won’t be easy- but it’s possible! It was done before and the time is now for this monopoly to be broken up again. If you are angry at being gouged, then join with us for brining about a real change. Help us take our message across America from colleges to mainstream news outlets.
